°°° Animistic Beliefs °°°
-------------------------------

Rotterdam based duo delivering a lush and heavy tapestry of hypnotising electro sounds made by their vintage drumcomputers and (modular) synthesizers.

There are always going to be a select few sounds, samples, techniques, and modulations that are specific to the electronic music scene. There are a also a select few that can use these techniques originally and creatively.
That’s where the Rotterdam based duo ‘Animistic Beliefs’ comes in - the experimental twosome takes what is assumedly standard electro percussion and toned out vocals and turns them into something other-worldly. Armed with a modular synthesizer and vintage drum machines the duo is able to take an idea grounded in a fluid melody, hone it in, shift its interchangeable layers and weave together an intricate tapestry of something which borders between meditative, danceable and nirvanic.
What we get as an audience is an emotional, wholesome, thought-out composition that never harasses the ears.

°°° Cornil °°°
------------------
