Live music maker and strong activist, he has been expressing his passion for Turntablism through the dancefloors since 2000. Not only as a music selector but also as a competitor, he came out winner in lots of european well known scratch competition and then IDA Team World Champion in 2010.
Dj Odilon distills eclectic sets with a funky colouring, going back to the hip hop culture of the 80’s with a taste of electronic, using the good old Technics MKII like any traditional instrument. Also Beatmaker, he provided beats for many looper projects and on-line world competition such as IDA and Mixfader .
His wide ranging experience makes him an artist committed to his passion and an active member of the turntablism circles. Even more so since joining the teaching team of the Academix DJ School of Brussels in 2007, during 4 years.
He also spread his musical message every monday on BRUZZ with his radio show called Re:Fresh since 2015.
For several years now he has been doing the openings for such international artists as The Pharcyde, EPMD, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Smif’ N Wessun, Dilated Peoples, Evidence, ONYX, Ghostface Killah, Ill Bill, Jedi Mind Tricks, Cut Killer, Birdy Nam Nam, IAM, Rocca, 2Bal 2Neg, Arsenïk, Sages Poêtes de la Rue, Youssoupha, Araabmuzik, Noisia, Foreign Beggars, Subfocus, Evol Intent, Tha Trickaz, Toots Thielemans, or even Ollie Teeba, Coldcut, and Dj Food of the famous label Ninja Tune.
We saw him turning the wheels of steel around Europe in many big Festivals such as, Brussels Summer Festival, Les Francofolies de SPA, Dour, Les Inc Rock, Embaracat, Les Plages Electroniques.. and he was also monthly resident for many years at Bulex parties, which are the most famous students party in Brussels.
